Hello! Muraho! This is my little corner of the Internet, where I talk about Rwandans abroad(in diaspora),highlighting the Rwandan cultural identity for the next generations (first and second Rwandan American generations), connecting with Friends of Rwanda and more! . I had my first blog in 2009 called “Rwanda Today” but I couldn’t keep it up due to other life’s priorities.
Now, I’m back!
Cultural awareness and tradition play important roles in helping young children develop a positive sense of identity and build self-esteem. Research shows that children raised outside of their parents/caregiver’s place of birth—are likely to have multiple cultural identities.
If you are interested in knowing about Rwanda, looking for some tips about visiting Rwanda, teaching your kids the Rwandan culture or any other resources that I may have ,I am here for you. Please reach out to me if you need to. Your feedback is appreciated and encouraged.
